inp.polri.go.id – A village head in Nduga Regency, Papua was arrested by the police. The village head is suspected of supplying funds to the Papuan terrorist separatist group (KSTP) in Kenyam District to buy ammunition. Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Papua Police, Commissioner Faizal Ramadhani, said that only one of the three village heads suspected of funding the purchase of 615 bullets were arrested in Yalimo Regency some time ago. He has the initials TL, Vilalge Head of Wusi Village, Wusi District, Nduga Regency. He was arrested in Kenyam last August 4th. From the examination, TL admitted to giving ammunition worth of Rp150 million. “We have secured one village head, while the identities of the other two have been identified, including the village secretary who asked the village head for money with the excuse of helping students,” explained the Director of Criminal Investigation of Papua Police. He said that TL's arrest was made after investigators investigated the origin of the funds used by AM, an State Civil Apparatus from Nduga Regency who was arrested in Yalimo along with the 615 bullets. "It is suspected that the funds came from village funds," explained the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Papua Police. The findings of 615 bullets of various calibers were secured after the police intercept it from KSTP led by Egianus Kogoya. This ammunition was allegedly purchased from unscrupulous members of the Indonesian Army for Rp200,000 per item. Currently, two members of the Indonesian Army are detained for allegedly being involved in the sale of 615 bullets.
