Police Continue the Investigation of Same-sex Party in Kuningan

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Regional Police are still investigating the case of a same-sex party that took place in a hotel room located in Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on (1/2).

"This is still being investigated to find out since when the activity has been going on, where, how many times and so on," said the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, as reported by the Antaranews on Tuesday (2/4/2025).

He added that based on the facts found by the police, the participants were gathered in a room and asked to enjoy the event.

"When the event started, one of the suspects with the initials BP alias D shouted to the participants of ‘Party’ to have fun and enjoy the event. They were also asked not to be rude when refusing the invitation of others," he explained.

The suspects, namely RH alias R, RE alias E, and BP alias D were charged with Article 7 of Law No. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography, which regulates the criminal penalties for people who fund or facilitate pornographic acts.

Then, Article 36 of Law (UU) Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography regulates the prohibition of showing pornography in public and Article 296 of the Criminal Code which regulates the crime of facilitating or causing obscene acts.

"With a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and a maximum fine of Rp7.5 billion," he concluded.
