inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police have deployed personnel to anticipate potential spillover markets during Ramadan 1447 Hijri to ensure the safety of the public and road users.

"The South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police have deployed police personnel at several locations of the street stalls center from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM," said the Head of Operations for the South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Superintendent Tribuana Roseno, Friday (2/27/2026). A total of 150 personnel have been deployed at five locations in South Jakarta that are the focus of the police's monitoring.

"Along Satrio (Setiabudi) street, Santa Market(Kebayoran Baru), Bangka Raya (Mampang) street, in front of the STIE Bhakti Petukangan Selatan Campus (Pesanggrahan), and Pancoran Barat VII (Pancoran) street," explained Tribuana.

Tribuana hoped that activities in food stalls during Ramadan will continue to run orderly without causing traffic congestion or disrupting public order.

Furthermore, the police are also coordinating with regional administrators and relevant agencies to anticipate a surge in public activity leading up to the time for breaking the fast.

Tribuana stated that security is focused on the critical hours leading up to breaking the fast due to increased activity of people buying food and other necessities.

"We urge food sellers and the public to maintain order and comply with existing regulations for the safety of all," said Tribuana.

The South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police confirmed that regular monitoring of the food stalls will be carried out throughout Ramadan 1447 Hijri to maintain public order and security.
