inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Water and Air Police Directorate of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police deployed a Search and Rescue (SAR) team as a disaster response to the people affected by flood in Kebon Pala, East Jakarta.
The SAR operation, with a team of 15 personnel, began at 10:00 a.m. The team was led by Police Senior Inspector Hamdanallah.
The personnel were deployed to assist in the evacuation of people affected by the flooding in the area, with water levels reported to be between 100 and 120 centimeters.
The Director of the Water and Air Directorate, Senior Superintendent Mustofa, stated that the deployment of the SAR team is part of the police's commitment to responding quickly to any potential disaster.
"We deployed the SAR team to assist in the evacuation of residents and ensure the safety of those affected by the flooding," he said, as reported by the gayabekasi website, Thursday (1/29/2026).
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that the deployment of the SAR team is part of their commitment to responding quickly to any potential disaster. Budi urged the public to utilize police emergency services if they need assistance.
"People affected by the floods or in need of immediate assistance can call emergency services at 110. Our officers are ready to respond quickly and provide assistance on the ground," he emphasized.
