Police Examines Nine Witnesses of Glodok Plaza Fire

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The investigators of Metro Jaya Regional Police have questioned the nine witnesses of the Glodok Plaza fire that has killed nine people.

“As of now, there are at least nine witnesses that have been examined by the West Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, supported by the General Criminal Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional Police,” says the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Monday (1/20/2025).

According to him, the investigation into the cause of the fire was handled by the West Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, assisted by the State Security Sub-Directorate of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency, and the DVI team of the Indonesian National Police Health Center. The joint team is still searching for missing victims.

"We are still working on it, so please give us time to examine the location and search for the missing victim. We really hope that there are no more victims,” says Ade.

It is known that there are six remaining missing victims of the fire. Meanwhile, the bodies of eight people who were previously declared missing have been taken to the Kramatjati Bhayangkara Hospital for the identification process.
