inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Ahead of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day, Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit went to the field to give away thousands of Indonesian flags to the people.
This activity took place on Monday (8/4/2025) where several personnel took to the streets to direct traffic and distribute flags to motorists.
The Mobile Brigade Unit Commander of the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto, stated that raising the Indonesian flag is not just an annual tradition, but a symbol of the nation's spirit and identity.
"We want to invite everyone to participate in celebrating Independence Day by raising the Indonesian flag at home, on their vehicles, and at work to show their love for Indonesia," said the unit commander on Tuesday (8/5/2025).
A total of 5,000 Indonesian flags were distributed to motorists. Personnel were stationed at several locations, such as the intersection of Prajurit KKO Usman and Harun street, in front of Capitol Suites, and in front of the Mobile Brigade Headquarters of the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police.
The public seemed to welcome the activity. Many motorists voluntarily stopped their vehicles to receive flags from Mobile Brigade personnel, who distributed the flag with smiles.
Henik added that this activity not only strengthens the relationship between the police and the community, but also serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining unity and diversity in order to realize the ideals of independence in accordance with this year's national theme 'Indonesia Maju, Indonesia Bersatu'.
