Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police gives explanation on the ticketing of a rider who escort the ambulance in Kuningan, South Jakarta. The Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Latif Usman confirmed that his member has stopped and ticketed a biker because of violating the traffic law. “The ticketing by police member has been accordance to the Traffic and Transportation Law. The escort has to have competence and the escort is part of police authority,” says Latif on Wednesday (12/13/2023). Latif adds that they also used rotator which is prohibited to be used by general public, but only permitted to be used by police. “We then continued the escort to the hospital as general public has no authority to do escort. That is why, I said this once again, that we continue the escort to the hospital,” says Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Director on Wednesday (12/13/2023). (ad/ri/pr/nm)
