Police Involves 5,791 Personnel for WWF Security

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) held a security special operation for the World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali, from 18th to 25th of May. The operation is code named Puri Agung.

The Head of INP Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko explains that the Puri Agung Operation was officially launched from May 17th. The operation personnel consists of police, military, BSS, BNPT, BNN, Presidential Security Guard, and other related stakeholders.

“The total police personnel involved in the operation are 5,791, with 2,485 from INP HQ, 2,706 from Bali Regional Police, 300 from East Java Regional Police, and 300 from West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police,” said Trunoyudo on Thursday (4/25/2024).

Furthermore, Trunoyudo conveys that the international event of WWF will discuss the Center of Excellence for water resource sustainability in various countries. Then, the forum also discussed the management of integrated water resources in archipelagic states and small islands, particularly for adapting with the disasters caused by climate change.

“The launch of World Lake days and the formation of integrated water resources management in archipelagic countries and small islands have also become the topic of this year’s WWF,” Trunoyudo says.
