Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura.  One member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) from the Goliath Tabuni Group in Kampung Kisor, Maybrat, South West Papua, has surrendered to local security forces and pledged allegiance to Indonesia. 

Head of Information  of the Joint Defense Regional Command III for Maluku and Papua Colonel Gusti Nyoman Suriastawa confirmed on Thursday (25/4/2024) that Setam Same surrendered himself to the Indonesian Military (TNI) post in Kampung Kisor on Wednesday.

Currently, Setam is being held at Kisor post for questioning and will be handed over to the police for further proceedings. 

He surrendered due to being wanted for an attack on a Military Command Post in Kampong Kisor in 2021. 

Setam's decision to surrender voluntarily was written in a signed statement, pledging not to rejoin the group and offering assistance to the Indonesian government, the military, and the police in locating its members in the forests.
