The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, revealed that as of mid-January 2026, hundreds of victims had filed reports. He stated that, based on data compiled as of Monday (1/12/2026), investigators had received dozens of official police reports.
Furthermore, he said, hundreds of public complaints had also flooded the complaint post opened by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's General Criminal Investigation Directorate.
"Regarding the alleged fraud case involving the AP Wedding Organizer, based on data compiled as of Monday, January 12, 2026, 24 police reports have been filed," explained Budi on Tuesday (1/20/2026).
Budi further explained the magnitude of the losses suffered by the victims have exceeded IDR 18.4 billion and are likely to continue to increase.
"The total reported losses have reached IDR 18,443,155,435, and this figure is likely to increase as investigators continue their data collection and investigation. Currently, the suspect, identified as AP, has been detained, and the investigation is ongoing," he said.
