inp.polri.go.id - Mandalika. The Chief of Police's Assistant Operations, Commissioner General Muhammad Fadil Imran, directly inspected the drone monitoring and security post at Bukit Jokowi, Saturday (10/4/2025).
The special post was prepared to support the security of the 2025 MotoGP, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Fadil ensured that all equipment and personnel of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Drone Task Force were ready to anticipate potential threats from illegal drones. This must be anticipated because it can disrupt the course of the international race.
"Securing the Mandalika MotoGP is not only carried out on land and in the air with regular patrols, but also with a light air defense system that can disable illegal drones. This is important for the safety of racers, officials, and spectators," said Fadil Imran.
He added that the presence of anti-drone technology operated by special personnel is one of the preventive measures to ensure the smooth running and safety of this world-class event.
At the monitoring post, personnel demonstrated how the drone-killing device works, which is capable of detecting and disabling unauthorized drones in seconds.
"The personnel for the equipment have been well-trained. We ensure that the security of the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP is a top priority, so that the public and tourists can enjoy the race in peace," he explained.
The Bukit Jokowi monitoring post is known to have a strategic position for its high point with a wide view of the circuit and the surrounding area. With this system, officers can monitor drone movements in real time and take swift action if there is any potential interference.
