The South Tangerang Sub-regional Metro Police confirmed that they are still investigating the case of an elementary school teacher who was reported to the police after advising his students to care for others. The police are also open to mediation between the two parties.

"We will accept both parties' efforts to reach a settlement, thus pursuing restorative justice. We'll wait for today and we'll update the case further," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metro Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, to reporters on Wednesday (1/28/2026).

Budi said the incident occurred in August 2025 based on a report filed by the student's parents. The teacher, Budi, allegedly made inappropriate remarks to his student.

"During a learning activity at the school, a teacher allegedly made rude remarks to a student. The student reported the incident to the parent. The parent attempted to meet with the teacher, but no agreement was reached," he explained.

The parent also requested that the teacher apologize in front of the class. However, this hasn't been done, leading to a police report.
