inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Jatiuwung Sector Police, along with members of the Indonesian National Military (TNI), Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), the Environmental Agency, the Fire Department, the District and Urban Village Governments, and the community, conducted a mass community service program at the Periuk Damai Housing Complex, Tangerang City, on Wednesday (1/28/2026).
The activity was led by Jatiuwung Sector Police Chief, Police Assistant Superintendent Rabiin, and involved approximately 100 joint personnel.
The community service focused on cleaning drains and culverts, collecting trash, sweeping neighborhood roads, and pruning tree branches that could pose a hazard during heavy rain.
Tangerang City Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Raden Muhammad Jauhari, emphasized that this activity represents a concrete step by the police to support public safety and comfort.
"This community service is part of our preventive efforts, along with all elements of society, to reduce the risk of flooding. A clean environment and smooth drainage are key to preventing flooding," said Jauhari.
He also emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in addressing environmental issues.
"Flooding problems cannot be addressed alone. Collaboration between the police, the military, local governments, and the community is needed to truly see the results," he explained.
