inp.polri.go.id - Bangka Belitung. The Head of Security and Profession of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ferdiansyah, led a roll call in highlighting the security of the regional head elections to personnel.

“As we all know, tomorrow there will be a repeat election in two regions, namely in Pangkalpinang and Bangka. Therefore, today will be carried out the transfer of troops (serpas) personnel to the mentioned regions that will hold the repeat election,” said Ferdiansyah.

He also reminded all members that neutrality is a must. 

“We are prohibited from taking sides, either with one of the candidate pairs, or with a political party,” noted Ferdiansyah.

This prohibition is not merely an instruction, but is stipulated in applicable laws and internal police regulations. The police must be neutral and not involved in practical politics.

“Our only duty is to ensure the democratic process runs safely, peacefully, and conducively. We must ensure all stages of the election are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations,” says Ferdiansyah firmly

In his closing statement he remarks by reminding all personnel to protect themselves, uphold the institution's good name, and carry out their duties professionally.
