inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Patrol Team from the D Pioneer Battalion of the Mobile Brigade Corps of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police arrested three teenagers suspected of stealing gas and freon cylinders in the Kranji flyover area, West Bekasi, Bekasi City, early Saturday (10/3/2026).
Officers successfully arrested the alleged thefts during intensified surveillance in the area.
"Patrols are conducted routinely to anticipate potential disturbances to public order and security," said the Head of the Mobile Brigade Corps of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto, in a written statement on Saturday (10/3/2026).
The action began when officers discovered the three teenagers riding a Yamaha Fino motorcycle without proper vehicle registration at 4:00 a.m. After conducting a thorough inspection at the scene, police secured evidence in the form of a 3-kilogram LPG cylinder and two AC freon cylinders, suspected to be the proceeds of the crime.
"Every incident discovered in the field is followed up according to procedure and coordinated with regional authorities," he said.
To ensure a conducive situation in crime-prone areas, the Mobile Brigade Corps continues to schedule regular sweeps during sensitive hours.
"The presence of personnel in the field is expected to prevent criminal activity and provide a sense of security for the community," he said.
All suspected perpetrators and the confiscated evidence have now been handed over to the West Bekasi Police for further legal processing. The police also urge residents to immediately report any suspicious activity through the 110 call center.
