Environmental protection efforts continued to be promoted by the Ponorogo  Sub-regionalPolice, not only by educating the community on how to keep the environment clean, but also through tree planting initiatives. The Ponorogo Police Chief  Superintendent Wimboko explained that the tree planting initiative was aimed at promoting environmental awareness among the community. "Our tree planting efforts are aimed at preserving the environment in the hope of creating public awareness and a greater sense of care for the environment," he said on Monday (6/11/2023). In addition to planting trees, the Ponorogo Police performed a social service by distributing basic necessities to residents of the Slahung sub-district. "Providing basic necessities is our gesture of caring for others, something we should really be doing," the Ponorogo Police Chief explained. As part of this effort, the Ponorogo Police also spearheaded a health service campaign. "We conducted a Health Service Campaign for 100 patients from Jebeng Village, Kambeng Village, Plancungan Village and Ngloning Village," he explained. (mg/as/pr/nm)
