Inp.polri.go.id - Malang. Jakarta Popsivo Polwan won a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Jakarta Livin Mandiri in the PLN Mobile Proliga 2025 at GOR Ken Arok stadium, Malang, East Java, on Friday (17/1/2025).
The thrilling match ended with scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-27, 21-25, and 16-14, showcasing fierce competition and unwavering determination from both teams.
Popsivo’s head coach, Geraldo Daglio, admitted the match was anything but straightforward despite an early 2-0 set lead.
"It was incredibly tough, and I can still feel the intensity of the game," Geraldo said during a post-match press conference, as reported by antaranews.com.
He praised his team’s resilience, noting that every player embraced the strategy and contributed significantly.
"We faced challenging moments, but the team played with heart and understood the game plan perfectly. I’m proud of their effort," he added.
Popsivo Polwan now prepares for another demanding match against Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia on Saturday, leaving little time to rest.
Meanwhile, Livin Mandiri Assistant Manager Adnan Husein praised his players for pushing the game to five sets.
"Although we lost, the team showed great determination, especially in winning the third and fourth sets," he said.
