Previously, Dorna Sports released several security reports during Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) and World Superbike (WSBK) in Mandalika Circuit, which has ended last week. The report is related to the evaluation results that must be followed up by better preparation for MotoGP security in February and March 2022. The Chief of NTB Regional Police has received the report from Dorna Sports and will be discussed further with the MGPA and ITDC as the circuit's owner. NTB Regional Police would also coordinate with the ministries and institutions to strengthen the security of the MotoGP event. The consideration of more spectators of MotoGP compared to IATC and WSBK becomes the basis for security strengthening. "Everything would be consolidated on what strategy must be strengthened during the MotoGP event, especially on the first and second rings, " Chief of NTB Regional Police said. As the note, on IATC and WSBK 2021, the Armed Forces-Police conduct security until the second security rings, from the outer circuit wall to the racer's paddock. In the international-class circuit security, the second ring must be the organiser's responsibility, and the government's security personnel only operate in the outer wall of the circuit. However, because Dorna Sports and MGPA were overwhelmed by the spectators entering the circuit and entertainment areas in the first ring in the middle of the racing arena, Armed Forces-Police had to assist the security. "I have discussed it with the organisers, Dorna Sports and MGPA. It is important for the organisers and, on separate occasions, I have talked with the Dorna (Sports)", he concluded.
