The Public Relations (PR) of the Indonesian National Police (INP) is proactively bolstering the skills of its members to effectively tackle the diverse challenges of the digital era, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming political year. Starting today (20/6/23), the enhancement of member capabilities within the Integrated Information Management System (IIMS) training has been initiated.
The Head of PR Division, represented by the Head of Management Information and Documentation Bureau Brigadier General Moh. Hendra Suhartiyono emphasized that the IIMS has the capability to effectively address the challenges posed by the digital era. Consequently, it is imperative for the entire PR Division to acquire a thorough mastery of its management.
"As we are aware, we currently live in the digital era that demands the majority of people to move quickly, instantly, and easily, especially with the presence of internet networks and evolving technologies," he said in his speech on Tuesday (20/6/23).
He further explained that the INP will be confronted with a politically significant year. In such circumstances, the police bear a crucial responsibility of providing accurate information and combating the dissemination of hoaxes.
"In 2024, we will face a pivotal political year, wherein the police will assume the role of safeguarding, securing, guiding, and serving the election organizers and the public. This includes utilizing the integrated information management system, which aids in preventing the propagation of fake news, hate speech, and identity politics during the electoral process," he emphasized.
He expressed his anticipation that his colleagues will capitalize on the opportunities provided by this human resources training. The continuous implementation of developmental programs, aimed at enhancing the quality of human resources, remains a priority.
"To all participants partaking in this training, I urge you to maximize its benefits. This valuable experience can empower you to excel in navigating the challenges ahead," he concluded.
