"This morning, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby announce our achievement of food self-sufficiency in 2025," calls President Prabowo on Wednesday (1/7/2026).

President Prabowo expressed his pride and joy at the achievement of self-sufficiency. Addressing farmers, agricultural extension workers, and the entire Indonesian agricultural community, he thanked them for their hard work.

"I would like to say my thanks to the entire agricultural community in Indonesia, you have worked hard, you always act as one, you have produced what you have produced over the past four years, you have given your best to our Country. Because of you, now we are self-sufficient. One year, we have stood on our own two feet. One year, we are no longer dependent on other nations," thanked President Prabowo.

He observed that farmers had proven themselves to be the nation's finest sons and daughters. 

"What's important, today you (farmers, ed.) have provided tangible proof. You have, in my opinion, marked an important milestone in the independence of the Indonesian nation," said President Prabowo.
