inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto aims for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program to reach all beneficiaries in Indonesia by the end of December 2026.
President Prabowo stated that the MBG program has already reached 55 million beneficiaries in just one year. On the other hand, the government has set a target of 82.9 million beneficiaries, including school children, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and the elderly.
"Our target is for all villages to receive MBG by December 2026. Hopefully, it can be realized much earlier, but by December, we must ensure that all Indonesian children, all pregnant women, and all elderly parents are fed," said President Prabowo on Wednesday (1/7/2026).
President Prabowo apologized to the Indonesian people who have not yet been able to benefit from the MBG program. However, he assured that all villages will soon receive MBG as planned.
Previously, President Prabowo stated that the MBG program had reached 55 million beneficiaries as of January 5, 2026, a year since the priority program was first launched on January 6, 2025.
