Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received an honorary visit from the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, which was the first visit by the head of the country's government.

Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said that this meeting is an important momentum to strengthen and improve bilateral relations between Indonesia and Cambodia, as well as strengthen cooperation in various strategic fields.

President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen is also planned to attend a series of ERIA Leadership Lecture activities in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/5).

The President of the Senate will share reflections on his leadership in realizing peace and national reconciliation in Cambodia, amidst complex geopolitical dynamics.

"His experience is expected to be a valuable lesson for policy makers, academics, and young leaders in the region," said Yusuf.

The ERIA Leadership Lecture Series was first held on September 18, 2024, featuring the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the inaugural speaker.

This series serves as a forum for high-level discussions on leadership, governance, and regional cooperation in Southeast Asia, while enriching the regional intellectual and diplomatic heritage.
