inp.polri.go.id – jakarta. President Joko Widodo was immediately greeted by President Volodymyr Zelensky upon his arrival at the Maryinsky Palace, Ukraine, today, Wednesday (29/06/22).
The Press Bureau of the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat reported that Zelensky greeted Jokowi at the palace entrance at around 15:00 local time.
"After the greetings, the two leaders of the two countries entered the Palace to have a photo session together and continued with their meeting," wrote the statement from the Presidential Secretariat.
During this visit, Jokowi brought a mission of peace in the war between Ukraine and Russia which is still raging until now.
After, Jokowi reportedly will head to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin on June 30.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno LP Marsudi, said that Jokowi went to Ukraine and Russia with a noble mission top bring peace following the conflict that raged in the country.
Meanwhile, experts believe that Jokowi's visit is also aimed to save the G20 summit, in which his country will be the host.
