Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto has urged law enforcement to thoroughly investigate the death of Arya Daru Pangayunan, a diplomat and Foreign Ministry staff member found dead in his rented room on 8 July 2025 with tape wrapped around his head.

“The president entrusted the investigation to law enforcement authorities to be conducted as thoroughly as possible,” said State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace compound on Friday (25/7/1015), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He asked the public to await the investigation results. 

Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Lodewijk F. Paulus also urged the Indonesian National Police to swiftly clarify the circumstances of Arya’s death.

Arya’s body was discovered by a boarding house guard in Central Jakarta. His remains were autopsied at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.
