Inp.polri.go.id - Bieruen. President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday (7/12/2025) assured farmers in flood- and landslide-affected areas of Aceh that their agricultural loans under the government’s microcredit scheme will be written off, as the disaster qualifies as force majeure.

“Farmers should not worry because this is not negligence but a force majeure,” he said during an inspection of the Bailey Bridge construction site in Teupin Mane, Bireuen, a key access route to Bener Meriah and Takengon, as reported by antaranews.com.

President Prabowo also pledged rehabilitation of damaged paddy fields, repairs to irrigation and dams, and the delivery of sufficient food supplies while recovery progresses. He praised the combined efforts of the military, the police, local administrations, and workers who are accelerating emergency responses on the ground.

To speed up infrastructure restoration, President Prabowo appointed the Army Chief of Staff as commander of the task force overseeing bridge and agricultural repairs.
