Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto witnessed the signing of 27 defence cooperation memorandums of understanding (MoUs) valued at Rp 33 trillion (approximately USD 2 billion) on the opening day of the Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2025 in Jakarta, Wednesday 11/6/2025).

“This reflects Indonesia’s strategic push to strengthen national defence industries through global collaboration,” said President Prabowo, accompanied by Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Coordinating Minister for Security Affairs Budi Gunawan, as quoted by antaranews.com

The MoUs were signed by state-owned defence enterprises like PT Pindad, PT PAL Indonesia, and PT Dirgantara Indonesia, as well as private sector and international defence companies, including firms from Turkey, the UK, and France. Among the highlights was an MoU between Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence and Turkey’s Aerospace Industry for the KAAN fifth-generation fighter jet.

Indo Defence 2025 hosts 1,180 defence and aerospace exhibitors from 55 countries and runs through 14 June 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
