Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The official invitation came from French President Emmanuel Macron, marking a high point in the 75th anniversary of Indonesia–France diplomatic relations.
“President Prabowo Subianto’s presence reflects Indonesia’s growing role in global diplomacy,” said the Presidential Secretariat in an official release on Monday (14/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Bastille Day, France’s national day commemorating the 1789 Revolution, has become a symbolic platform for international diplomacy, with past guests including Nelson Mandela, Donald Trump, and Narendra Modi.
Indonesia’s contingent, Patriot Indonesia II, led the military parade, featuring 500 personnel from the Indonesian Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), and cadet academies. The national anthem “Indonesia Raya” was also played.
President Prabowo joined President Macron on the main podium in a rare honor, strengthening bilateral ties and setting the tone for deeper strategic cooperation between the two countries.
