Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced on Tuesday (4/2/2025) the 23-player squad for the national U-20 team ahead of the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China, starting this February.
Coach Indra Sjafri has selected key players like Dony Tri Pamungkas, Sulthan Zaki, Kadek Arel, and Muhammad Iqbal Gwijangge, who are regulars in the youth national team. The squad also includes overseas-based players such as Welber Jardim, Marselinus Ama Ola, and Jens Raven.
Bhayangkara FC, a Liga 2 club, provides the most players, contributing three: Fandi Bagus, Evanda Florasta, and Muhammad Ragil. Liga 1 clubs Bali United, Persija Jakarta, and Borneo FC each have two players in the squad.
Indonesia earned its place in the tournament by topping Group F in the qualifiers with seven points, ahead of Yemen and Timor Leste. In the AFC U-20 Asian Cup, Indonesia will compete in Group C with Uzbekistan, Iran, and Yemen.
The team's journey begins on 13 February 2025 against Iran, followed by matches against Uzbekistan on 16 February 2025 and Yemen on 19 February 2025.
