"We don't require the public to wear any specific attire. What's important is the spirit and the atmosphere," said the Minister of State Secretary on Tuesday (8/12/2025).

The Minister explained that those attending the ceremony through official invitations are expected to wear traditional attire.

For the general public who successfully obtain tickets to attend the ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, they are not required to wear traditional attire.

The Minister of State Secretary hopes that the spirit of celebrating Indonesian Independence Day will be enhanced by wearing red and white attire.

The State Secretary also confirmed that a total of 16,000 invited guests will attend the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

"The Palace has allocated 8,000 guests each to attend the morning and afternoon ceremonies," said the State Secretary.
