Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP) is set to collaborate with the Indonesian Republic Radio (RRI) to fight against the spread of hoaxes ahead the 2024 elections office in Jakarta on Thursday (23/2/23).
Head of Public Relations Division of the INP Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo held a discussion about the collaboration with RRI President Director I. Hendrasmo during a visit to RRI headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday (2/23/23).
The INP chief spokesperson acknowledged the challenging effort to fight against hoaxes, however, it was critical to assist the awareness and informed decision-making of the voters in the 2024 elections.
“The battle against misleading narratives and content will be particularly challenging in this year of politics, therefore the cooperation of all stakeholders is crucial," he asserted.
The RRI President Director concurred, highlighting that RRI has developed various programs to strive as an informative media outlet that can effectively counter hoaxes and hate speech.
"By working together, we can serve the greater good of our nation," he said.
