Inp.polri.go.id – Lampung. Lampung Regional Police Chief Inspector General Helmy Santika instructed his members to stay humble as the public trust for the institution has grown. “As of now, the level of public trust towards the Indonesian National Police (INP) is 82%,” said the police chief during his speech at a morning rally in North Lampung, Thursday (2/8/2024). According to Helmy, the price for a public trust level this high is not cheap and could not be easily achieved. Therefore, he instructed his members to stay humble and do not act arrogantly with the people. “Being a member of the police does not mean that we are ‘Superman’ who can overcome any problem easily alone. Do not ever think that we can overcome any issues alone,” remind Helmy. Helmy continued that the police need the full support of its community and other parties, and he expects his members to respect their trust. “Let us maintain it together but not doing anything that could harm ourselves and the good name of our institution. Preserving is harder than achieving, and right now we are trying to preserve the trust given by the public,” explained the police chief. (ad/rz/pr/nm)
