Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Health Ministry continues their preventive effort in primary service, one of which are adding the child immunization routine to 14 different kinds of antigen vaccines. Told by Director General of Disease Prevention and Control dr. Maxi Rein Rondonuwu, the national programs such as immunization must be performed well. The Ministry has set the target of 95% of children to be fully vaccinated. “Because I saw several cities and regencies are able to meet our goal. However, on the other end, we saw other cities or regencies who are still far from our goal,” said dr. Maxi on Friday (2/9/2024). Meanwhile, the new additional vaccines will add three more doses from the initial 11 doses. The three new vaccines are Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV) immunization to prevent cancer, Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) for pneumonia, and Rotavirus Vaccine (RV) for diarrhea. “The government will also provide second doses of polio immunization or IPV2 to further strengthen our children from polio,” conclude dr. Maxi. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
