inp.polri.go.id - The National Police Laboratory and Forensic (Puslabfor) inspected the location of a shop house (ruko) boarding house on Duri Selatan Street, Tambora, West Jakarta, as part of the process of identifying fire incidents in the area. The fire have killed six people, Wednesday (17/08/22). "Today we will accompany Puslabfor to carry out further identification activities," explained Tambora Police Chief, Commissioner Rosana Albertina Labobardi Jakarta, Thursday (18/08/22). The activity was carried out in order to examine some of the evidence at the location for the purpose of investigation. The evidence will be brought and examined to prove the main cause of the fire. Previously, police officers had examined nine witnesses, consisting of two boarding house owners, two victims and five boarding house residents. In the future, he said, it is possible for investigators to examine other witnesses to reveal the main cause of the fire. Based on the report, his party then went to the location with five pump cars along with 25 personnel. Arriving at the location, it was seen that the second floor of the shop was burning. The officers immediately put out the fire. Because the fire could not be controlled, the officers finally requested for another back up. The total units deployed to extinguish the fire were 20 pump cars and 100 officers. The incident caused six people to burn to death because they were trapped inside when the fire spread. In addition, two other occupants of the boarding house also suffered serious burns.
