Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Anti-Drug Task Force (Satgas P3GN) has arrested two individuals connected to the international drug network led by Fredy Pratama.
Head of the Satgas P3GN Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri said that the two suspects, identified as Satya Gunawan and M. Najih, have been taken into custody, antaranews.com reported.
Satya is a family member of Fredy Pratama, and Najih is an associate. Both face drug-related charges and money laundering allegations. The drugs-related charges carry a maximum penalty of death.
Satya helped conceal drug proceeds within Fredy's network, which were converted into real estate assets. Najih, a drug courier, received funds from the drug network and was involved in financial transactions with a social media influencer identified as Angela Lee
The Satgas P3GN investigative team has seized 13 bank accounts, cash, 41 land and building ownership certificates, and an apartment, Satgas P3GN Deputy Head Inspector General Mukti Juharsa said
The police suspected Fredy Prtama to be hiding in Thailand with the support of his father and in-laws, who are allegedly part of a drug cartel in Thailand,
Since the network's unveiling on September 12, a total of 46 individuals have been arrested.
