inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Several religious and community leaders expressed their appreciation for the security measures implemented by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police and stakeholders during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year’s Eve celebrations in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
This appreciation was expressed by Father Aan, the Parish Priest of the Cikarang Mother Teresa Church.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the Indonesian National Police, especially the Bekasi Sub-regional Metropolitan Police, for ensuring the security of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations," Aan said in Jakarta on Monday (1/5/2026).
According to him, the security measures provided allowed the mass in the Cikarang Mother Teresa Church to worship in peace and tranquility.
This sense of security was also felt by Elita Kaviani Candra, a representative of the Catholic Women's Church of the Church of Prosperity Parish in Central Jakarta.
"Thanks to the presence and capability of security personnel in the field, we can do our worship safely, calmly, and peacefully. This strong cooperation creates a conducive environment in our church. We salute the police's hard work in maintaining harmony and security for the Gambir community," said Elita.
