"Until now, the Greater Jakarta region under the legal area of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police is safe and controlled. I hope this situation will continue until tonight. We will keep conducting security operations", he said in Monas, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (2/12/21).

Police Grand Commissioner Endra Zulpan explained that the Reuni 212 mass gathered on several spots did not approach the Patung Kuda area. However, the mass is gathering at KH Wahid Hasyim street. "At 10.00 there were around 500 people. This is the part of the group who want to enter the Patung Kuda area", the Chief of PR Agency said.

The joint forces of Armed Forces-Police then dispersed the crowd, and the masses were called back home and did not continue towards Patung Kuda. The call was then responded to by the group, who then emptied the KH Wahid Hasyim street.

"They were hanging around the KH Wahid Hasyim street, but after we told them about laws and its consequences if the activity on Patung Kuda was keep being conducted if they force to do so, they finally understood and dispersed themselves. Afterwards, what we've known until now, there are no more crowds who want to enter Patung Kuda area to conduct the reunion", Chief of PR Agency said.
