inp.polri.go.id - Sugapa. The Damai Cartenz Operation (ODC) 2026 Task Force is ensuring the security of Bilogai Airport in Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, as part of an effort to ensure smooth transportation access and logistics distribution for the people of Papua.

Bilogai Airport is a vital facility with a strategic role in the lives of Intan Jaya people. Besides serving as a primary passenger transportation route, it also serves as an entry point for food supplies, medicines, and healthcare services, which are heavily dependent on air transportation.

Security measures were implemented on Monday (2/2/2026) under the leadership of Police Senior Inspector Syahril Arditya. In the operation, security personnel conducted airport area sterilization, runway security, and surveillance of the surrounding hilly areas to prevent potential security disturbances.

The Head of Damai Cartenz Operation 2026 Task Force , Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that securing vital facilities like Bilogai Airport is a top priority in maintaining security and stability in Papua.

"Airport security is crucial to ensure the smooth flow of public transportation and logistics. However, in carrying out security operations, we are still doing it with a soft approach so that the public would not be intimidated and remain comfortable," said Faizal Ramadhani in his statement.

He added that the smooth operation of the airport is an indicator of the state's presence in guaranteeing the basic rights of the people, especially access to logistics, health services, and citizen mobility. 

All personnel of Damai Cartenz Operation have been instructed to carry out their duties professionally, firmly, and always prioritize a humane attitude.
