Papua - Children education in Papua is often hindered by the infrastructure and inadequate numbers of teachers. In response to this, the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of the Indonesian National Police, a special unit formed by the Indonesian National Police to help improve education, welfare and living quality in Papua, created the SI IPAR (The Teaching Police) programme to utilise Police structure that has been complex and reaching the districts in Papua. Just like the SI IPAR Programme conducted by Binmas Noken of Boven Digoel region. On Friday, October 22, 2021, at 19.25, Binmas Noken personnel consisting of Police Inspector First Class Husain Abd Rahim (Regional Coordinator of Boven Digoel), Police Chief Brigadier Fainal Faidi, Police Chief Brigadier Tarwi, Police Sub-Inspector Second Class Yanuarius Ogirin visited elementary school kids and dropped out of school kids into the SI IPAR Programme. The arrival of the Binmas Noken team of Boven Digoel in the Asrama Kombai was warmly welcomed, and they are happy with the arrival of Binmas Noken. The activity was started by Police Sub-Inspector Second Class Yanuarius Ogirin, who introduced himself and encouraged kids to move forward and introduce themselves and continued to sing national songs of Indonesia Raya and Garuda Pancasila. The SI IPAR activity also provided basic knowledge on reading, writing, counting, and fostering a love for the motherland by teaching kids to mention province names in Indonesia. Next, they were playing with the animal story, so the kids were laughing happily. The activity was ended with giving gifts and stationery for all attending kids. This activity is hoped to make Papuan children closer to Indonesian National Police and create a young generation that is reliable and full of achievements. The dormitory's head, Mr Tinus Kerafo, thanked the Indonesian National Police who have been caring and helping kids to play and learn and also for giving them stationaries and ice cream.
