Jakarta - Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, addressed his appreciation towards all Bhayangkari corps who have been struggling and helping people in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. Sigit said this during the commemoration of the 69th Bhayangkari Movement Unit Day (HKGB). According to Sigit, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bhayangkari corps has made several programmes to help people such as foster parents for kids victim to Covid-19, mass vaccination, social service and blood donation, assistance for disabled people, environment care, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development, and many webinars beneficial for the people. "My highest award and appreciation for the many activities and work programmes of Bhayangkari corps during the Covid-19 pandemic to the community", Sigit said in his written statement in Jakarta on Friday (22/10/2021). The former Chief of Banten Regional Police stated that the activities conducted by the Bhayangkari corps have been in line with the effort and hard work done by the Indonesian National Police related to Covid-19 Pandemic handling. Therefore, Sigit mentioned that Bhayangkari's role is one of the central, behind the spirit and struggle of all Police personnel because Bhayangkari always provides support and assistance for the advancement of Indonesian National Police. "Behind the Indonesian National Police organisation, there is Bhayangkari that always supports and assists the Indonesian National Police", the former Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police said. As a part of the big family of the Indonesian National Police, Sigit emphasises that the Bhayangkari corps must keep assisting, supporting, and strengthening the institution. However, Sigit said, those things must stay in line with the role of Bhayangkari in the family unit. Because, despite everything, Sigit said that Bhayangkari's role as the wife and mother in the family must be the main priority. Therefore, Sigit appreciated the figure of Bhayangkari, who are able to conduct their duties both in the organisation and in the family. Meanwhile, Sigit also emphasises the importance of a balance and taking a role in the household for all Police personnel. According to Sigit, all husbands also have to respect the Bhayangkari, who always supports and prays when conducting their duties as the Bhayangkara corps personnel. "So, then main tasks are clearly pushing the body and soul of Indonesian National Police institution. We have to put it in the best position", Sigit concluded.
