Papua - The development gap between urban and rural areas often ignites different Police tasks and functions. The Police tasks themselves is to maintain public security and order and protect and serve the people. The tasks are then adjusted with the local demographic that has to be served. For the Papua, with the area of 786,000 sq km, and with uneven access for transport, electricity, internet, health, and education.
Filling the gaps, Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) created the KASUARI Programme (Welfare for the People), in which the programme would optimise all resources in Papua. Binmas Noken Task Force of Merauke saw a promising pig farming potential, so the KASUARI targets the pig farmers.
Just like the one conducted by Police Commissioner Attendant Makruf Suroto, Police Sub-Inspector Second Class Sudoko, and Police Chief Brigadier Lutfi Eko AP on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 09.30. Binmas Noken conducted KASUARI Programme at the resident house of Tambat village, Tanah Miring district, Merauke regency, precisely at the pig farm owned by Mrs Susana Mogan.
At 09.30, the Binmas Noken team arrived at the pig farm spot of Mrs Susana Mogan in Tambat village, Tanah Miring district, Merauke regency. The team then supported and advised her to invite other Papuans to follow her way of pig farming.
Appreciation for the decision of pig farming is also addressed by Binmas Noken personnel to Mrs Susana. They hope Mrs Susana focus on her business of pig farming and invites her brothers, sisters, or neighbours to create any business so it could help their family's economy, moreover in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. They have to do something to fulfil life's needs.
