Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s main aviation hub, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, can now accommodate up to 96 million passengers per year following the revitalization of Terminal 1C, which will be fully operational on Wednesday.

“The activation of Terminal 1C increases the total capacity of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to 96 million passengers per year,” said Mohammad R. Pahlevi, the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), on Monday (10/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The terminal’s capacity has jumped from 3 million to 10 million passengers annually, marking a key milestone in InJourney Airports’ transformation program. 

Pahlevi said the expansion strengthens the airport’s global competitiveness and readiness to handle growing air traffic.

The upgraded Terminal 1C integrates modern technology with traditional Indonesian design, featuring 40 check-in counters, seven baggage conveyors, and decentralized security checkpoints. The project supports Indonesia’s ambition to position Soekarno-Hatta among the world’s top 10 airports by 2029.
