Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin announced the establishment of the Nusantara Immunotherapy Center (Pusat Imunoterapi Nusantara ) and DSA Unit at the National Defense Central Hospital (RSPPN) Panglima Besar Soedirman in Jakarta, led by Liutenant General (ret) Prof. Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, the Presidential Adviser for Health and former minister of health.
“Today we are witnessing the launch of the Nusantara Immunotherapy Center and DSA, assigned by President Prabowo to Prof. Terawan to lead its operations,” Minister Sjafrie said on Monday (10/11/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The new unit, inaugurated alongside top defense and Indonesian Military (TNI) officials, will serve not only military personnel but also the general public. It utilizes advanced dendritic cell therapy for autoimmune, inflammatory, and degenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s and diabetes.
Terawan said that international patients have begun seeking treatment at the facility, highlighting its potential to become a regional medical reference.
