Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The South Jakarta District Court has clarified that the son of former Public Works Minister Radinal Mochtar during the Soeharto era, RH Radinal, did not die as a result of physical altercations during an eviction in South Jakarta on Thursday.

"The death of RH was not due to any physical clash or violence from the eviction officers," said South Jakarta Court spokesperson Djuyamto in a statement on Friday (13/9/2024), as quoted by antaranews.com..

The clarification followed reports of his death during the eviction of a property, which housed Sedjuk Bakmi and Kopi Cilandak on Jalan Lebak Bulus III in Cilandak, South Jakarta. 

According to Djuyamto, RH's death was due to illness, not a confrontation with officials.

"We extend our deepest condolences and hope the family finds strength during this difficult time," he added.

RH reportedly lost consciousness during the eviction and was rushed to nearby Mayapada Hospital but did not survive.

The eviction, which took place on Thursday morning, involved clearing the property, which is the subject of a legal dispute.
