Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has formed a special task force to investigate allegations of fund misuse related to the XXI National Sports Week (PON) Aceh and North Sumatra 2024.
The task force includes officers from the INP Criminal Investigation Agency, the Aceh Regional Police, and the North Sumatra Regional Police.
"In response to the Ministry of Youth and Sports' request, the INP’s Corruption Crime Directorate has coordinated and formed a task force," said the INP Public Relations Divisiona Head of Public Information, Senior Superintendent Erdi Chaniago, on Friday (13/9/2024).
The task force will monitor and clarify the actions of those involved in organizing PON XXI, focusing on potential corruption.
Chief Erdi added that the police are working together with the Attorney General’s Office and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency. He also urged the public to report any irregularities in the management of PON XXI funds.
"We urge the public to report any suspected misuse of the PON XXI budget," he said.
