Inp.polri.go.id - Banjarbaru. The South Kalimantan Regional Police have uncovered an international drug network linked to Fredy Pratama, seizing 70.76 kilograms of methamphetamine and 9,560 ecstasy pills.

Inspector General Winarto, the South Kalimantan Police Chief, said on Wednesday (23/10/2024) that six suspects were arrested during the operation, with drugs sourced from Pontianak, West Kalimantan, and intended for distribution in South Kalimantan, according to antaranews.com.

The bust followed a tip about a large drug shipment headed for Banjarmasin. Further investigation revealed ties to Fredy Pratama, a notorious drug kingpin currently wanted by Interpol.

Among the evidence seized was a modified vehicle used to conceal drugs, containing 51.32 kg of meth, along with ecstasy pills branded "Rolls Royce" and "Owl."

Police continue to investigate, with plans to expand the operation. The operation of the raid has potentially saved 363,561 lives and prevented drug rehabilitation costs estimated at Rp 1.8 trillion.
