Inp.polri.go.id – South Kalimantan. The South Kalimantan Regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation confiscates a kilogram of meth from two couriers with the initials of YD (40) and DS (32).

“A package of meth with the weight of 1,004 grams have been secured,” said the Director of Drug Criminal Investigation, Senior Superintendent Kelana Jaya on Friday (4/26/2024).

Additionally, police also confiscated 34 pills of ecstasy with various logo and colors.

Kelana Jaya says that the uncovering of this case is thanks to the public who report the criminal activity. Following the report, police immediately dispatched their unit and launched an investigation before eventually capturing the two suspects in different locations.

Police says that they first caught YD in Ahmad Yani street, Banjarmasin, not far from the KM 6 Banjarmasin Terminal.

“From interrogating YD, we got the information that he was ordered by DS to get the illicit items and wait for further instruction from J,” said Kelana Jaya.

Then, after further developing the case, police finally found DS and arrested him at his house in Belitung Darat Street, Banjarmasin.

The two suspects are charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Subs Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

As of now, J is still on the run and has been listed in the wanted list.
