inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The online gambling sites distributor from South Jakarta with the initials of V (30) was arrested by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional Police.

Conveyed by the Special Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak, the arrest was from the case investigation developed by the Cyber Sub-directorate.

“We found a site or website that offers gambling content with the name of the site fastpin77,” says Ade on Friday (8/23/2024).

Police explain the role of suspect V in this case is as person in charge/supervisor telemarketing and customer service of the sites that operate in Cambodia.

“Moreover, the suspect also provides a deposit holding accounts for the online gambling practice" he explained.

From the suspect, police seized a phone, two ATM cards, one passport and two airline boarding passes.

For the crimes committed, V will be charged Article 27 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (3) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) and/or Article 303 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) with a maximum penalty of 6 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion.
