Police Arrest Aggravated Theft Suspect in North Jakarta

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police has arrested an empty house thief in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The Criminal Investigation Chief Of Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Superintendent Chandra Mata Rohan Shah identify the suspect is J (34), who was arrested in Pluit Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Chandra also reveals that during the incident, the homeowners are not in the house as the parents are working and the children are going to school.

“When the child returned from school at 15.54 pm, they found that the house was already a mess and their fence door and main door were already open. They also found doors inside the house were broken and opened,” explains Chandra.

Police say that J found and took a safe containing gold, land certificate, important letters, and a cash of money. Other items in the house were also taken by J.

For his crime, J will be charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning aggravated theft. The threat is a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
