Inp.polri.go.id - Banjarmasin.  In a joint effort, the South Kalimantan Regional Police and Banjarmasin Sub-regional Police distributed 1,000 basic food parcels and 1,500 affordable market parcels in North Banjarmasin. The initiative, led by South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian Ryacudu Djajadi, alongside Banjarmasin Police Chief Senior Superintendent Sabana Atmojo aimed to alleviate the economic challenges faced by the local community. "This activity is designed to support those who are facing economic hardships, with the hope that it will prove beneficial to those in need," said General Andi on Thursday (23/11/2023). In conjunction with the distribution of thousands of relief kits, the event included a health outreach programme and a small business bazaar at STIE Indonesia's Banjarmasin campus. "We also provide free health services for the community, support for the national insurance (BPJS) programme and wheelchairs for people with disabilities. We are also giving scholarships to 10 students at STIEI Banjarmasin," said the South Kalimantan Police chief. Yanuar Bachtiar, chairman of the STIEI Banjarmasin Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the social outreach and emphasised its role in fostering positive community-police relations. (mg/ri/pr/nm)
