Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. South Korea has begun implementing a temporary visa-free program for Indonesian tourist groups starting Thursday (28/5/2026).
Under the scheme, groups of at least three Indonesian travelers may enter South Korea without a visa for up to 15 days until the end of December. The Ministry of Justice said the policy follows a tourism strategy meeting led by President Lee Jae Myung in February to boost inbound tourism, according to antaranews.com..
Immigration authorities noted the program is expected to strengthen the national tourism industry. Preventive measures against illegal stays include requiring Korean travel agencies to submit visitor lists 24 hours before arrival for screening.
Justice Minister Jung Sung-ho said the government will coordinate with relevant ministries to ensure the program supports domestic consumption while maintaining order among foreign visitors.
